A house rental contract starts on 12th - which is the logical day to exit after 1 calendar month?

Is 11th the following month the logical day to exit? Or is it 12th?



So does one count eg. 12-Apr to 11-May as one calendar month and the tennant is supposed to vacate on 11th of May? Or can the tennant vacate on 12th of May and have that counted within the one calendar month?



I'm just looking for common-sense logic, not what may be written/stipulated in any contract.
